45 miles to the gallon from the Classic fitted with a 3/4 fairing.(I know this 'cos I did the "Full to the brim, to reserve, to empty tank." test,on a mixture of highways) my Bora deisel do's about the same as your Mondao around town but 50 on a run,and I would think 50 to the gallon from ...

Re: Ignition Trigger Switches

Part No for the Classic is 50-0760,(I expect it's the same for IP2's) Boyers don't give a part No on there invoice, they just call it a Norton Rotary Ignition Switch, how they differentiate between air cooled and water cooled I have no idea smiley,(If there is a differance)Richard? rgds,J.B.

Hi Guys, Good news from Boyer Electronics, they have recently? made a new batch of Ignition Trigger Switches for our rotaries,BUT,MAKE SURE you specificly want a NORTON ROTARY I/Switch,'cos they may send you a Racing trigger switch,(as they did me some four years ago,)the differance being the "P...

Re: Recommendation for Electronic Ignition

I agree with Del Boy,relocating the IgnBox away from the VR is a must, even more so on Classics,I don't think Shenstone could have sited them in a worse location ,I had three of each on mine in 47,000 miles, evil, needless to say the VR has since been relocated to somewhere cooler and away from the Ig...

Re: oil consumption

Hi 52, If your rotator do's about 250 miles on a US pint I suspect that this equates to roughly 300 on a IMP pint which is about the same as my Classic and a tad better than Chris Grimmit's machine, but not much in it,is any body else going to part with the relative information? J.B.

Re: oil consumption

Am I correct in thinking that a US gallon is smaller than an Imp one?if so, then logic dictates that a US quart is also smaller than the quart this side of the pond?which then begs the question, how much smaller?(this could run on a bit wink)J.B.

I think wev'e been down this road before re: "how quiet electric vehicles are" manufacturers will have to build in some noise, especialy for bikes,(if car drivers can't hear a noisy old Hog on open pipes what chance an electric bike exclaim,)rgds, J.B.
