Polished Silencers

Hi guys,Iv'e noticed on some of the rotories that the paint on the silencers has been removed and the natural stainless steel polished up nicely cool,how is this managed?Iv'e tried to do it with a buffer powered by an electric drill,it would take for ever evil,rgds,J.B.

I'll go along with gripper,I had a bit of a ride on an F1 once,absolute pig in traffic evil,my Classic is a far nicer bike to ride,and much more practical for all round use,(no offence to F1 & F1 sport owners smiley)rgds,J.B.

I've had a Minimag box on my Classic for ages,good bit of kit,and the guy that makes them is well helpful,rgds,J.B.ps,see else where on our forum about re-locating the VR cool

Hi David,you may find that the VR is cooking your elect/ign;box (if they are still back to back)the VR gets well hot and where it is situated on Classics hardly any cooling air gets to it,so it fries itself AND the ign:box evil My Classic had three each of these within 50,000 miles before I cottoned...

Well,after scraping off the old "O" rings,cleaning all the "mating" surfaces with cellulose thiners,fitting new "O" rings,adding lashings of silicon,b***y bike still runs like it's on part choke evil,not as bad as it was,but still not right,will not tick over when hot,(...

Hi Mike,In all my years of messing about with cars,bikes,trucks,construction plant,ect;I have never had a battery explode using jumper leads,(I supose this could happen if one connected a 24v from a truck to a 12v car or bike,but I expect a lot would bepend on how long they were connected smiley)rgd...

I don't think a tupperware box will fit in the space behind the seat on a Classic smiley,well, not one big enough to get the suplied tool kit in,and the tool roll dos'nt need to be waterproof,it's pretty watertight back there,J.B.

Way back in September of '09 I purchased a couple of front indicators(compleat)for £30-00 from Cornish Motor Cycle Spares.I expect they are coppies but they look ok to me,rgds,J.B.
