Re: H&H Auction
Hi Al, Lots of oil(30 or 40 grade mono)down the plug holes, turn the engine over by hand(bike in gear and turn the engine over using the back wheel so the oil gets liberally distributed round the internals)engine wise that's about all you can do. Advise the neighbours NOT to phone the fire brigade wh...

Hi Jannes,
I expect they mean matching engine and frame numbers,in which case they are correct, both are as the bike left the factory,J.B.

Re: my old Classic
Keith may well be right about auction houses. A case in point being last Friday with me looking to do a 'phone bid on a "T" reg(1997) Honda CB500 that had not been MOT'd since 2009,loking at the auction video and listening to the auctioneer's sound track comments,it looked a nice clean bik...

Re: Lovely Commander for sale
Digressing only slightly wink,Did I read somewhere that the M.O.D.had a Battle Tank on trial way back in the '90's that had a absolutely humongous Rotory diesel installed(I think the Challenger had about a 27ltr lump in it cool ) that went like stink, but was horrendously thirsty evil(no surprise the...

Is it an old IP2 frame?if so,(if they are the same as a Classic ) the coils should fit on the front of the frame, attached to the back of the engine air filter cover,(the coils have their own special little brackets )J.B.

Hi 588,are you sure about having to change the Coils and other things to fit a Minimag?'cos I'm sure I didn't have to change a thing on the Classic(I assume your bike is an air cooled model?)but if you contact Richard I'm sure he will put you right,SVF,J.B.

Hi guys,
I think I have a coil prob: on the Honda so a little advice would be appreciated.
The book says that a reading of 2.2 to 2.6 ohms for the primary end,I am getting a reading of 3.5/3.9 do's this indicate a new coil is required?(the secondary readings are fine)rgds,J.B.
