Re: CARBONE IN THE ENGINE
Thanks Malc I shall worry no more I was worried on the toy run that the bike was getting up to 150c on the slow crawl thru the town waving at everyone watching the procession of biking Santa's but I guess 150c is not too hot then.

Re: CARBONE IN THE ENGINE
I find some of this hard to follow as I have fitted a brand new thermocouple and temperature gauge to my bike because of this. I keep reading stories of high engine temperatures so I fitted everything new as my engine normally runs at about 100c, I have never had it go above 150c yet, thus I thought...

Myself on my IP2 and David Brown on his Cafe Racer special attended as did a chap called Bob who chatted quickly as we left for the run, he was on his Commander. I have added pictures in t...

Re: FUEL CAT T2 TANK UNIT
TRL I know the Army did do a test of cylinder head / Valve seat wear with these on the T140's they were using and found that the valve seats using unleaded wore faster than those using the cat. I know this is true as one of my Vehicle mechanic mates while I was in the Army (REME) took part in the te...

No offence meant Malc about Tony but if I remember rightly when he left Norton Motors he formed his own cleaning company but please correct me if I am wrong Mind you why has there been so much secretcy over Brian leaving and nothing in MCN as said earlier by someone??

Re: Discoloured primary chaincase oil
I am running on Comp 2 without adjusting the oil feed and I have found it works really well, my pump is set to align as per Richard's instructions which is about 1800rpm if I remember correctly.

Activ8
Has anyone tried the Additive Activ8 in their engine? It states that it is excellent in rotary engines and they claim it was used on the NMM racers. I am thinking of giving it a try as it claims to reduce friction and sticking between moving parts by 90% etc etc.Any thoughts?
